Windbreak fabrics are used in a variety of applications including protecting crops and plants from wind damage, protection from browsing animals and property privacy . For the commercial grower, the effects of strong wind can cause plants to dry out, wind burn and physical damage to crops.

Installation of Windbreak Fences

Windbreak can be installed on frames, fences, timber poles or post and wire structures.  For the most economical installation for your application, please contact our Sales Department.   We can give you advice on the pole or post sizes and spacings required, wire sizes including billow wires if necessary and most importantly which of the following windbreaks are best suited for your application.

Windbreak SK is a cost effective, short term (3-5 years) windbreak, used to establish young trees on farm properties, boundary fences, residential home and other applications. It is used extensively in the avocado industry. Manufactured using UV stabilized PP tape yarn and mono filament yarn. Colours  available are Green or Black.  It is a robust windbreak. For a cost effective windbreak, don't go past Windbreak SK.

Windbreak LT is a light weight knitted windbreak available in green and is also used for establishing young trees and for  property boundary fencing. Manufactured from HDPE Mono filament yarn , it has a life span of approx 5 to 7 years. Manufactured with knitted eyelets on both sides for easy fitting using wires or clips. For a longer life light weight windbreak then look no further than Windbreak LT. Custom lengths available on request.

Windbreak Ultra-Pro XS is the premier knitted Windbreak used in the Horticultural and Agricultural Industry. There are no areas around that this windbreak cannot be used. From boundary fencing, internal windbreaks to industrial sites this is the number one choice. WINDBREAK ULTRA-PRO ECO Medium Knitted Windbreak

Windbreak Eco (Economy) is the cousin of Windbreak Kiwi and is used mainly in the Kiwifruit industry to enhance cane growth, increase production and to make the orchard warmer. Manufactured from UV stabilized mono filament yarn and weighs in at 125gm2, includes knitted eyelets on the sides. It is the lighter weight white windbreak with a 65% wind porosity compared to Kiwi windbreak which is 50% wind porosity. Life span 10 years plus. Custom lengths available on request.

Windbreak Kiwi is the premier white windbreak for the Kiwifruit industry. With a healthy 50% wind porosity it has the same benefits as Windbreak Eco with the only difference being the weight of 160gm2 and wind porosity. It is the premier product in white windbreaks and also has a life span of 10 years plus.
